USA Newsletter No.18 - Chestnut Avenue Begins

Yo Niggaz!

Did you miss me?! Doesn't seem like it since I don't receive any emails from you... Or maybe you guys are all just as busy as me! ;-) So today Imma tell you another chapter from my oh so fabulous life. :)

First big news... I moved to a new apartment. Some of you might think now "what ... AGAIN"??? *lol* Well let me tell you, I lived over a year in my old apartment and it became a little boring living like a sane person in the same place for so many months. *haha* So I thought to myself, how can I possibly spice up my life and keep myself busy for the next couple weeks?! Moving seemed like a great idea. For a couple months now a friend of mine and me were imagining how cool it would be to move in together. Said and done! We met up, searched craigslist, looked at two places and decided. All in one day. Baaaaam... that's girlie power!

A little about my roomie: Jo (her full name is Jyotshna but I wanna keep it simple for you) is from Nepal and is one of the coolest people I know! We get along great and guess what... we even work in the same badass field... accounting. :) In fact, we have such a similar taste that even some of our clothes are the same. *hahaha*

A little about our apartment: let's keep it short - AMAZING! It is so cool. We live on the second floor of a house in the typical American neighborhood. We have a deck outside our front door out to the back yard where we can enjoy lazy Sunday morning breakfasts or relaxed evening cocktails there. But why should I try to describe everything when you could much easier see for yourself. Check out my pictures... Or just come for a visit! (Oh btw, see my new address below.) But remember, we only accept visitor with preapproved application forms. You gotta understand... we are highly demanded people and our schedules are full with people who want to take us out for dinner, drinks, movies, ... you get the picture. And as always, the waiting list is not "first come first serve" but your spot on the list is determined by the gifts you gonna bring. *LOOOL*

Except moving what else is going on??? I work now 2 months at AugustinPartners. It is great, I learn a lot, I get to spend my days in the city of all cities and the best thing is, I even get paid for it!! :) In my free time (yeah, on some rare occasions I even have some free time) I mostly studied for this little thing called CPA.

Some of you might drift off thinking "what the f***... she is STILL studying for this thing?" Yeah she is! This is my personal hell I have to go through to be allowed into heaven. My challenge. My battle to fight. My evil to destroy. As of today, my CPA balance looks like this: (side note: the goal is to pass 4 exams) so far I took 5 and passed 2. No, this is not depressing and pathetic at all. No, I don't feel like the biggest looser of all times. No, I do not want to spend my time outside work any other way; especially when the sun is shining and everybody else hangs out at the beach or Central Park (just for the record, I hate both of those places until I can go there myself). NO, I will not give up! 50% are done... Halfway there. :) Thanks for the inspiring prep talk!! :)

What else?? We covered apartment, work and CPA. hmmm... Well, the huge amount of free time that is left after those three things I try to spend with my friends. Movies, going to out to eat, hookah, just chillin with da gang, or party in the city. Let's say this much: it never gets boring around me!

Well, I gotta take my stuff out the dryer. Otherwise the laundromat lady is gonna get mad and kick me out. I better run... Please see all my pictures from my fun moving day, party, and much more. And I hope to hear from you soon. :)

Biggest hug and kisses, Vicky

P.S. Oh my God, I almost forgot to tell ya. Germany will be blessed with my presence in July. *hehe* I conveniently scheduled my visit according to the World Cup to be there when the boys bring home the cup. July 2nd till July 12th the sun will shine bright over good old Germany. If YOU, yes you, want to see me, I'll be staying with the rents in Ottersweier. Please note, that the same rules apply as if you come visit me in the US... ;-) No, let's be serious for a sec... I would be super happy to meet up with you. Let me know if you wanna come down or what.

I'm out ... for real ... MUAH
